Frank B. Layton, III Technology Scholarship

It is the Donor’s intent that three students be awarded a Microsoft Surface Go laptop or comparable laptop valued up to $750 each fall semester to students meeting the eligibility requirements. Consistent with the terms of this Agreement, the Pellissippi State Community College Foundation may increase the amount of the stipend or make additional awards to other recipients.

The scholarship amount will be based on available funds. It is understood that if prices for laptops exceed the $750 amount, the donor may wish to add additional funds. If the donor chooses not to add funds, one student will be awarded if adequate funds exist.

Pre 3/19/2025

The Frank B. Layton III Technology Scholarship will provide two students each fall semester with funds to purchase a laptop valued at approximately $725. To be considered for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled for at least six hours, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, demonstrated financial need, and have a need for a dependable computer.
