Access and Diversity Scholarship Fall

$ 64,800 was budgeted to fund A&D Scholarships, providing financial assistance to increase access and success for traditionally under-served or otherwise legally permissible targeted populations.

To qualify, a student must complete all the following requirements:
1. Be admitted to Pellissippi State Community College.
2. File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
3. Complete the PSCC online scholarship application.

Other scholarship considerations may include:
1. Traditionally under-served or otherwise legally permissible targeted populations.
2. The student’s account demonstrates financial need (Per PSCC Financial Aid Policy).
3. Adult students, age 25 or older.

Award Amount: the amount of the scholarship shall be determined as follows:
1. Full-time student (12 or more credit hours) — $1,000 per academic year, the amount to be divided equally between fall and spring semesters.
2. Part-time student (11 or fewer credit hours) – prorated amount based on the number of hours attempted each semester.
3. Scholarship funds shall be distributed primarily during the Fall and Spring semesters. However, if funds remain, the Scholarship Committee shall have the discretion to issue funds during the summer term before the end of the fiscal year.

Award Stipulations: Scholarship funds initially awarded in the fall semester may be renewed in the spring semester —contingent upon the availability of funds— if the student meets the following criteria:
1. Student completes 2/3 of attempted hours.
2. Student maintains a minimum of a 2.0 GPA.

*It is highly recommended for first-time, full-time scholarship recipients to participate in Success Coaching. This entails having one-on-one coaching sessions with a Success Coach for every semester the scholarship is received.
